The Smileactives Teeth Whitening Pen is priced as a mid-range whitening pen that aims to be convenient and easy to apply. Simply twist the pen to disperse the gel onto the brush tip applicator and then brush onto your teeth up to 2 times each day. There is enough product in each pen to apply twice each day for 3 weeks. Smile for at least 30 seconds to allow time for the Smileactives whitening gel to dry on the surface of your teeth, then go about your normal activities. You’ll need to wait at least 20 minutes after the application before you eat or drink. Studies show that Smileactives Teeth Whitening Pen on average improves teeth up to 5 shades brighter, but teeth can occasionally whiten up to 10 shades more. The gel is made in the USA and its application is fast and convenient, so you can carry it with you wherever you go.

Advantages:

  • Simple application
  • Enough product in each pen for 3 weeks of use
  • Whitens teeth up to 5 shades on average
  • Some people see results in just 2 days

Disadvantages:

  • Poor consumer reviews
  • May hurt your teeth and gums

Verdict:

The Smileactives Teeth Whitening Pen doesn’t have a good ratio of feedback from customers that have actually used it on their teeth. Most people complain that they experience a lot of pain with the Smileactives Teeth Whitening Pen, be it on their teeth or if it gets on their gums. Since the Smileactives Teeth Whitening Pen doesn’t disclose the amount of whitening solution used in their product, it’s not easy to say how effective it can be against other types of whitening pens. In general whitening pens are best for touch up whitening or used on problem areas that tend to stain more. It’s recommended that consumers compare this pen to others before making the decision to purchase it. We feel that even though many people see results in 2 days, it might not be worth the gamble considering it has a reputation for causing pain during use.
